My (Over)Pricing Mistake

I’m not ashamed to admit that I - your business and marketing mentor - overpriced an offer.

Pricing feels like throwing darts.

I like to see what others in my industry are charging and adjust based on my skill level, and what I include.

But I couldn’t find another business membership similar to mine, so I settled on $33/mo.

It felt right. My lucky number is 3.

But I recently found a fitness membership that was $15/mo. I saw that and thought “How can someone not sign up? That’s totally affordable.”

I’m all about charging what your offer is worth, but I’ve learned that memberships play by a different set of rules.

The purpose of memberships (that are passive in nature) is to be a low hanging fruit offer. Something so good that your potential customers won’t want to pass it up.

Not only that, because you want long-term members, your monthly and yearly rates need to be affordable.

The objective is to build a community, which leads to volume and long-term monthly income.

My Debug Your Business membership is a step-by-step guide for starting and growing your business.

It breaks down different business and marketing tasks into steps, called “Formulas.”

(If you’re looking to learn the “rules,” psychology, and tips for pricing your product or service, July’s Formula is all about pricing strategy! 😉)

New Formulas are added monthly, and each month I also offer a Website Audit and Refine My Canva design to a member.

Members also gain access to my Answer Archive Facebook group where you can ask me anything business or marketing related.

Pricing is now $19/mo. or $209/year (includes 1 month free)! Enroll today.

Let me know! Have you ever flubbed on pricing?
